Jet into Chennai on the eastern edge of India to start your Islands And Tigers journey. After your long-haul flight, hole up in the Trident, just a short drive from the airport perimeter, and experience your first taste of India. The spa is excellent and kicking around in the pool will offer your legs some welcome activity before an indulgent dinner in one of the hotel restaurants.

DAYS 2-5 | Andaman and Nicobar Islands

The alarm clock will go off early for the flight far across the bay of Bengal to Port Blair, capital of the Andaman and Nicobar islands. You’ll be transferred to the charming but ramshackled centre of town where you can leave your luggage with your driver and venture off for an hour or so to explore the markets and witness daily life in this far-flung Indian territory. Your driver will be waiting to transport you to the simple ferry terminal for your boat journey, taking approx 2hrs, to Havelock island. On arrival you’ll be driven to Barefoot, a simple lodge on the most beautiful beach in Asia. And now it’s up to you how to spend your days in paradise.

DAYS 5-6 | Chennai
Highlights: Short stop over enroute to Rajasthan
It’s time to pack up your bat and ball and push the snorkel to the bottom of your suitcase. You’ll leave your hotel on Havelock at the crack of dawn to get the morning ferry back to Port Blair. One of our top picks is a brief visit to the fascinating museum at the Circular Jail and then on to the airport for the return flight to Chennai where you will overnight again at the Trident.

DAYS 6-9 | Ranthambore National Park

Another early start to catch the first flight to Jaipur but boy is it worth it for the experience at the other end. Jump in the waiting car and wind your way through the spectacular Rajasthani countryside for around four hours until you hit Ranthambore National Park. Waiting for you as your car pulls into Sher Bagh is a khaki clad butler with a silver tray. And yes, a fragrant cold towel and a cut glass of bubbles to ease any discomfort after your chauffeur-driven ride. Over the coming days, you’ll go out on two morning and two afternoon game drives into one of the most beautiful game reserves in India. And of course, excitement will be high at the thought of meeting its famous amber striped residents as well as many other exciting creatures

When you are ready to go Yonder you can make your reservation. We usually take a 30% deposit (but this can vary depending on your holiday). The balance payable 90 days prior to departure. Best of all, booking with Yonder really is headache free. You have complete financial protection for all holidays which include flights through our ATOL licence (11237).
