The alarm clock will go off early for the flight far across the bay of Bengal to Port Blair, capital of the Andaman and Nicobar islands. You’ll be transferred to the charming but ramshackled centre of town where you can leave your luggage with your driver and venture off for an hour or so to explore the markets and witness daily life in this far-flung Indian territory. Your driver will be waiting to transport you to the simple ferry terminal for your boat journey, taking approx 2hrs, to Havelock island. On arrival you’ll be driven to Barefoot, a simple lodge on the most beautiful beach in Asia. And now it’s up to you how to spend your days in paradise.

It’s time to pack up your bat and ball and push the snorkel to the bottom of your suitcase. You’ll leave your hotel on Havelock at the crack of dawn to get the morning ferry back to Port Blair.
