We keep going back to the Rasananda. Like hooking up again with an old friend. Everything about this superb hotel set amid the palms on legendary Thong Nai Pan Noi beach ticks our boxes. It is here each morning, as the sun rises over the sea, that an amazing breakfast spread is laid out. You can begin your day with a mimosa – champagne and chilled fresh orange juice – as you contemplate what to choose to start another laid back day in paradise. The way the beach boys leap to provide you with the perfect spot on the pristine white sand, whether you opt for a comfortable lounger or a giant bean bag.
The villas are laid out amid beautiful exotic gardens with tranquil pools and delightful pathways. Some look out over the gardens while others – our favourite suites – are beachside, with amazing views of the sea and their own plunge pools too.
With open outdoor terraces and salas, vast interior living spaces and outdoor showers, the suites successfully create an environment of sophisticated luxury and tropical bliss, perfectly combining contemporary chic with an authentic note of Thai lifestyle at its best.
And when it comes to wellness, you could not be in a better place. The Rasananda Spa is divine, a haven of peace and tranquility with couples treatment rooms, a traditional outdoor herbal bath and tropical steam cave, among other delights.
